Elisa La Marca

Elisa La Marca graduated with honors in classical guitar at the age of 19 at Milano Conservatory “Giuseppe Verdi” after studying at the Civica suola di Musica under the guidance of Paola Coppi.

She attended specialization Masters with Lorenzo Micheli, Matteo Mela, Stefano Grondona and advanced seminars at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena held by Oscar Ghiglia, receiving the Diploma of Merit in 2009.

Biography

As a soloist she just released her first solo album named The Queenes Masks - A Varietie of Lute music from the Early English Court published by label Arcana-Outhere (Nominated for Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik in april 2025). She was recently guest at the Colorado Guitar Festival in Boulder and at the Uri Guitar Festival at the University of Rhode Island for Solo Recitals, Masterclasses, and invited to be part of the juror for international competitions (CU International Guitar Competition-Colorado, UriGuitarCompetition- Rhode Island, New Zealand Young Talent Music Competition Baroque, Kithara Project Virtual Guitar Competition).

She is co-founder of the Quartetto di Luti da Milano, an ensemble of lutes dedicated to the repertoire of the Renaissance and early Italian Baroque.

The recording Vita de la mia vita has been best album of the month Amadeus, April 2015. She has participated in broadcasts and recorded for RSI Radio Svizzera Italiana, Radio 3, Rai 5, Mezzo Tv, Medicitv, Musicaviva-Egea, Erato, Arcana, Brilliant Classics, Glossa, Da Vinci Records. She is currently Lute teacher at the F.Vittadini conservatory in Pavia.
