Singer - songwriter

Eleonore

Born in Lausanne (Switzerland) in 1974.

Eléonore is a self-taught singer-songwriter.

Passionate about songwriting, she writes above all in her mother tongue, French, whose poetry and richness she loves. She likes to play with words and their sounds, sculpting her sentences with delicacy to give them depth and multiple meanings.

She released her first album, Hurle à la Lune, in 2011.

Biography

She met pianist and composer Bartolomeo Lanza in 2013, and the desire to compose songs
together was evident.
With him, she discovers a different approach to music and voice. Using the frequencies of the
voice as an authentic vehicle for an experience of the being.

In 2017, while writing her second album, Eléonore fell ill.
This experience led them to put into lyrics and music their strong common experiences and
universal themes such as the confrontation with death.

In 2020, she released a video for the single « Le meurtre de l’innocence » (The murder of
innocence) a song that is relevant in the current context, which speaks with dignity about abuse
and the world's indifference to it.

In this second album, through her voice and lyrics, enhanced by the sensitive, powerful
compositions by Bartolomeo Lanza, she explores the depths of human emotions, recounting the
intensity of life, through themes inherent to our humanity; mourning, illness, death, but also
motherhood, love, hope and healing.

She collaborates with first violin Hans Liviabella (1st violin of OSI / Quartetto Lino Liviabella /
Member of the Chambre Orchestra of Europe ), and composer Lee Bradshaw (Composer of the
first grand opera in Arabic) for the string arrangements.

The album « I'm nobody » was released in 2022, a testimonial album, which gave her the will to
live and heal so that she could share her experience with the public. Then a series of concerts
followed in Switzerland and Italy, in unexpected places; castles, abbeys and theaters, notably at
the LAC en plein air festival, on July 15th 2023, at the LAC (Lugano Arte e Cultura) in Lugano.

In 2022, RSI (radiotelevisione svizzera italiana) produced three videos, including the official video
« L’enfant » (RSI musica)

In October 2024, on occasion of Pink October, another video clip was released, « I saw me so
pale », produced by RSI. An authentic message about the rawness of breast cancer and its
impact on a woman's body, depicted with an unvarnished sensitivity. The theme of womanhood is
inherent in her writing.

Eléonore is currently working on two musical projects with Bartolomeo Lanza.
The one you are about to hear speaks with tenderness about the passing of time, and especially,
in these dark times, about that stirring even before the beginning of time. About the delicate
transition from night to a new dawn…
« È solo tempo che passa ». It's just time passing.
